The Field of Honor occurs throughout the summer and fall in Mitchell Park when 150 flags are on disiplay: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day. Each flag tells a brief story of someone special, providing a tangible tribute to their service, whether it be to a family, community or nation. And just as importantly, the 150 Stars and Stripes that stand in formation on each of those patriotic occasions serve not only as individual tributes to some very special people, but also to affirm our love of this country, and all that it represents.
